Once they have completed their investigation of the Persian Gulf, Fujimaru and company are given a new order from the king. Gilgamesh commands them to retrieve a clay tablet that he lost in the city of Kutha.
Following the appearance of the Three Goddess Alliance, the entire population of the city of Kutha died all at once. In this quiet, abandoned city, Fujimaru’s party decides to split up in search of the tablet. As he explores, Fujimaru suddenly finds himself in a strange, frigid world. This proves to be the underworld, a place entirely separate from the land of the living.
